AVC/H.264 HDTV/SDTV Encoder/Decoder “HV9100 Series”

With an AVC/H.264 CODEC LSI chipset built-in that supports 4:2:2 Chroma, the HV9100 Series provides high-quality and low latency in a wide range of bit rate. It supports MPEG-2 format for smooth transition from existing MPEG-2 equipment to the AVC/H.264 format.

1. Super Low Latency Demo
By using the newly added super low latency mode of HV9100 series, it is possible to encode and decode AVC/H.264 1080i29.97 at 15Mbps with about 100ms latency. We will demonstrate the super low latency mode of HV9100 series at NAB 2010.


2. Quasi Transparency
When performing event broadcast, it is common that encoding/decoding processing will be performed two or more times by the time the image recorded in the event site is deliver to audiences. In order to deliver high-quality image to audiences, it is important that there is little degradation of image quality even after two or more encoding/decoding processings. By supporting high 4:2:2 profile (8 bits), HV9100 series can suppress degradation of image quality.

HDTV/SDTV Multi-Channel Encoder “MPC1010”

The MPC1010, a digital broadcast platform with MPEG 2 HDTV/SDTV encoder modules, provides high image quality, high reliability and high cost performance. The MPC1010 uses own encoder LSI and is capable of offering up to 4 channels in combinations of HD encoders (1080i and 720p) and/or SD encoders (480i).

'Perfect-Sync' HDTV/SDTV Multi-Channel Encoder “MPC1010-3D/4k2k”

The MPC1010-3D/4k2k is a perfect-sync multiple MPEG-2 HDTV/SDTV encoders. By synchronizing 2 channels, MPC1010-3D/4k2k can distribute 3D stream in HD format or 4k2k stream by synchronizing 4 channels.

AVC/H.264 and MPEG-2 4:2:2 Professional IRD “HVD6100”

HVD6100 is the world's first professional IRD that combines decoder functionality with support for AVC/H.264 HDTV, 4:2:2 chroma with a DVB-S2 demodulator. The decoder function supports multi-format (AVC/H.264 and MPEG-2, 4:2:2/4:2:0 chroma and HDTV/SDTV) and comes equipped with a variety of features such as HDTV to SDTV down-conversion. The demodulator function supports DVB-S2, DVB-DSNG and DVB-S formats for high-performance satellite transmissions (it supports QPSK and 8APSK (16APSK and 32APSK are also available)).

AVC/H.264 4:2:2 12-bit HDTV Intra Encoder

This encoder has been developed in line with the appearance of the next-generation high-bit-depth cameras and displays. It is capable of encoding an HDTV (1920x1080) video signal with maximum depth of 12-bits per pixel (4096-steps, 16 times finer than the conventional 8 bits) in real time and with low latency. Due to its high quality and low latency, exciting applications such as broadcast contribution feeds between field sites and key stations, and medical picture transmission for remote care are now feasible.

Fun TV system is designed to provide a new style of enjoying TV; it uses high-resolution panoramic images to establish fun communication between widely separated family members, music fans, and sports fans. Users can interactively point to and see enlarged images of the family, favorite musicians, and athletes. Fun TV system consists of image synthesis, compression, and delivery technologies.

Error Resilient Codec with SVC

NTT will exhibit a real-time software codec that complies with H.264 Annex G "Scalable Video Coding (SVC)". Installed on one PC, this codec encodes/decodes Full-HD(1920x1080 pixels) videos in real-time, and maintains video quality under a variety of network conditions by extracting video data adaptively.

AVC/H.264 HDTV software encoder SDK “HDVE-100EncoderSDK”

AVC/H.264 HDTV software encoder SDK “HDVE-100EncoderSDK” is the optimum H.264 encoder SDK which can easily install to an application and system of creation of contents for services that require high visual quality and compression rate, such as IPTV VoD service. HDVE-100EncoderSDK supports more effectively encode process with technology of distributed arithmetic processing on an environment of multi-core processor or multi-CPU.

JPEG 2000 Real Time Codec
