CES 2009 Exhibition Report
January 26, 2009

NTT Electronics and BOCS jointly exhibited at “2009 International CES”, held from January 8th to 11th in Las Vegas, USA. CES is the world's largest consumer electronics show.

NTT Electronics enables distribution of HD contents throughout the home over existing coaxial cable.

The BOCS Xtender takes all of a consumer's home entertainment components - TiVo, an iPod, a DVD player, a STB(set-top-box) - and connects them to every display in the house, with no new wiring or additional STBs needed.

BOCS displayed its next generation HD Xtender at CES 2009, demonstrating the distribution of HD contents throughout a simulated home using typical coaxial cable. NTT Electronics' Full High-Definition, "LibraENC" MPEG-2 Single-Chip A/V Encoder LSI provided the video compression power.

This Single-chip encoder LSI provides full high-definition video with extremely high quality and low latency. The LibraENC is also ideal for consumer applications such as digital video cameras and wireless TVs. LibraENC achieves a high performance with a low cost.

NTT Electronics provides a wide range of products for both the consumer and broadcast markets. Please feel to contact us for more details.

At CES2009, NTT Electronics supported the BOCS HD Xtender demonstration of HD video being distributed from a simulated "living room" source to three additional displays in separate "rooms". An iPod video stream and Blu-Ray DVD player provided the source material.

NTT Electronics' "LibraENC" MPEG-2 Single-Chip A/V Encoder LSI provided the next-generation HD Xtender with the necessary high-quality, low-latency HD video encoding.

We'd like to say "thank you" to those who visited our booth during "CES 2009".
