NTT Electronics to Exhibit at OFC/NFOEC2011

NEL will hold an exhibition at OFC/NFOEC2011 (hosted by OSA), scheduled to take place at the Los Angeles Convention Center of Los Angeles, California starting March8, 2011. The exhibition will focus on the theme of integration of the new technological development capabilities and research results of NTT Science and Core Technology Laboratory Group with the mass production technology of NEL.
NEL will be aggressively promoting our main exhibits such as the " Solutions For 100G/40G Optical Transport Network" section, which is a collection of 100G/40G products. NEL will also be exhibiting various products by category such as new products using NEL's proud PLC Technology and new semiconductor laser products, High-speed electronics products for optical networks.

Demonstration: "PLC-based tunable filter array module"
We demonstrate PLC-based tunable filter array module. This devise has the followed feature;
- 8-channel filter array integrated in one PLC chip.
- Full C-band (1525 - 1570 nm) tunability.
- Compact module size.
- Low power consumption.
In the demonstration, the broad light from light source is filtered by the device and detected by spectrum analyzer. We will demonstrate scanning/tuning of the filter by showing detected spectra with tuning the wavelength of the device.
The device is controlled by command from PC via evaluationl box and module mount.
