NTT ELECTRONICS AND DIMETIS PARTNER TOGETHER FOR NETWORK MANAGEMENT SYSTEM INTEGRATION

NTT Electronics, a leading supplier of codec solution, today announced that it has entered into an integration partnership with Dimetis (www.dimetis.com), a leading software supplier providing Operations Support System (OSS) solutions.

NEL and Dimetis are working together to integrate NEL's HVE9210, HVE9230 and other encoders/decoders (codecs) into Dimetis' Network Management System (NMS) called BOSS LINK Manager. The integration goal is to provide the broadcasters and service providers a superior level of integration of solutions offered from NEL and Dimetis ; the Dimetis BOSS LINK Manager a comprehensive integrated view of the network and metrics, and operational visibility of the most efficient and reliable contribution codecs. In addition to this integration effort, both companies will cross marketing to each other's customers and distributors.

The integrated solution of NEL's codecs into the Dimetis BOSS Link Manager (NMS) will provide automated service scheduling, alarm integration, integrated diagnostics and error handling. In addition, it will bring users a solution ready for RALDIT – the Robust And Low Delay IP Transmission, optimal combination of super low latency with adequate robustness – by providing historical views of non-intrusive network performance metrics including Media Delivery Index (MDI) showing latency vs. jitter resilience, which will be on display in NTT Electronics' booth at Hall 2.C50 during IBC 2014 at Amsterdam.
