Imaging

DESCRIPTION

THz imaging is a technology that uses the absorption, scattering, and diffraction of THz waves to construct images. There are two types of imaging methods: one is the Active imaging, in which pulsed or CW THz waves are emitted from an emitter and THz waves transmitted or reflected from an object are detected and imaged by a receiver. And the other is the Passive imaging, in which THz waves generated by the subject itself are detected and imaged by a receiver. THz imaging is expected to be used for a wide range of applications, including industrial applications such as non-destructive testing, security applications such as body scanners, and medical applications such as cancer cell detection.
