100G-and-beyond Coherent Components
NEL, a leading supplier of coherent Digital Signal Processor (DSP) solutions to system and module manufacturers worldwide, provides key components for 100G-and-beyond coherent transceivers. NEL has commercialized its Second-Generation (Gen2) 20-nm CMOS ExaSPEED 100 (Low-Power DSP) and ExaSPEED ULTRA (High-Performance) DSPs, and micro-integrated intradyne coherent receiver (μICR) for CFP2-ACO solutions. Newly unveiled Gen3 16-nm CMOS ExaSPEED 200 (LP-Lite DSP) achieves ultra-low power consumptions less than 0.1W/Gbps for 200G/100G DP-16QAM/QPSK solutions.

100G OTN Framer
A Framer chip for 100Gbps Optical Transfer Network (OTN).
Client signals of 100Gbps, 40Gbps, and 10Gbps are multiplexed into 100Gbps OTN frames.
This μICR complies with OIF-DPC-MRx-01.0 and contributes compact and low cost transceivers; conventional type and pluggable type, CFP and CFP2. VOA function with capability of more than 10dB dynamic range is also integrated. It supports electrical signal interface to latest DSPs.
InP-MZM Modulator Sub-Assembly is important key element for coherent pluggable module (CFP/CFP2). Dual-channel IQ modulators are integrated in one chip and achieve good performance of low Vpi (~ 2.5V) and excellent extinction ratio (~ 25dB typ.).
